Project: Convert Front Garden to Driveway for Off-Street Parking.
We are Tarmac Contractors based in the Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders area. We carry all kinds of specialised tarmac work including work as Tarmac Driveways. This project was a huge transformation to convert an existing front garden with a lawn to a tarmac driveway for off-street parking.
First of all the existing front garden was excavated to new depths and levelled. We then prepared a sub-surface of Type-1 & 2 hardcore stone to a depth of 500mm. Flat top kerb edgings and tegular blocks were installed around the perimeter. ACO channel drainage was installed. A base course and surface course tarmac were laid to a depth of 100mm, and 20mm of Cotswold gravel was laid around the perimeter of edgings and landscaped area. All works were carried out in 2 days.
